Note: Our Oracle eBusiness Suite data warehouse is also referred to as our Oracle Applications data warehouse and simply Oracle eBusiness data warehouse.

The PeopleSoft data warehouse, the Oracle data warehouse and the SAP data warehouse are all built using their respective ERP applications while our Siebel data warehouse is built using the Siebel CRM application.

Continual Synchronization

Glenridge's Active Data Hub (ADH) is a data warehouse solution that continually synchronizes itself with your PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel transaction applications. 

Continual synchronization eliminates complex nightly batch processes, provides an up-to-the-minute data source to support your operational and analytical reports, and serves as an active data hub for other applications, web portals and event driven workflow.

ADH provides an ideal environment for reporting.  The ADH data environment is much less complex than the PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel ERP data environments and yields superior query performance.

In addition to the physical table and column names, ADH provides logical table and column names with meaningful naming standards to make the table purpose and content easier to understand; and report building easier.

ADH includes a true data warehouse.  It is a separate, nonvolatile (i.e. maintains history) data repository with both aggregated and atomic (i.e. detailed) data.  ADH utilizes partitioning, sub-partitioning, materialized views, compression and indexing techniques to yield superior query performance on both current and historical data.

Dynamic Data Model Generation

We generate a precise data model for your environment in a matter of hours.  We take into account the data tables and columns of your existing PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or Siebel ERP solution and source only meaningful data elements.

Extensibility

Your ADH data hub can be extended to source data from database platforms such as IBM DB2 UDB (including iSeries/AS400 and zOS), Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

Existing Reports

With ADH, you can use your existing library of reports based on your PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel application databases.  ADH also provides metadata you can use to locate available reports based on the report name, description, data tables and columns (i.e. data elements) used in your reports.

Drag and Drop

ADH enables users to simply select an "As Of" date along with other data items they want on their report and your effective dates are resolved dynamically without any custom coding.

Effective Dates enable queries to present data for a given point in time.  For example, an employee count as of March of 2004 compared to March 2003.

Sarbanes-Oxley Act

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires public firms to ensure that their reporting solution supports real-time response and provides high availability.  ADH satisfies these requirements and more. 

For example, ERP applications do not preserve historical data while ADH does.  To illustrate the importance, consider a report run on July 2nd showing actual and budget variances vs. the same report run for the same time period on July 30th.

After the books are officially closed for July an accountant discovers that several charges were made to the wrong cost center and corrects the error through their transaction application using the original effective date.

After receiving the P&L statement for March the CFO requests a series of budgetary reports based on the March close.  The CEO's reports don't agree with the P&L.  What good is a reporting system you can't trust?

Additionally, finding out what went wrong will not be easy, as ERP applications do not keep an audit trail of such transactions. A real-time system is needed that can capture changes in detail as they occur. You need ADH.

Cost

It cost no more to go with our ADH data hub solution than it does to go with a dated batch solution.  In fact, ADH is priced under most batch based solutions.
